Type Specimen for SF Pro Rounded
This is a Type Specimen designed by Leah Ray in the Typography course at CCA for APPLE Inc.'s 2018 SF PRO ROUNDED font family. She attempted to apply this long-term standardized interface font in an interesting scenario through a non-conventional approach. She employed alternating layers of transparency paper and printer paper to maintain visual depth and interactivity. She used this Type Specimen as her own promotion, with the overall appearance forming the shape of the letter "O", where the contrasting green and orange colors work together. Green symbolizes the rational structure of the font itself, while orange represents the designer's intense emotions.
The project was on display at LetterForm Archive on February 15, 2024, with Leah Ray and Sherry Chou responsible for the exhibition's Identity Design.
